MISS VIRGINIA TEEN USA 2008
Senior – Highland School, Warrenton, VA
Megan Myrehn, Miss Virginia Teen USA 2008, is a 17 year old senior
at Highland School in Warrenton, Virginia. She will graduate
in June of 2008, having attained High Honors all four years,
as well as being awarded the Founder’s Scholarship for
excellence in academics and leadership. She hopes to attend
either DePauw University or the University of Richmond next
fall. Megan attended the 2007 Summer Program for high-school
students at Pepperdine University last July where she earned
college credit for taking classes in Business Venture Initiation
and Psychology.
Before
moving to Virginia in 2003, Megan and her family lived
in Indiana and also spent three years in Japan.
She cites the three years residing in Japan
as a defining time in her life, and she hopes during her year as MISS VIRGINIA
TEEN USA® to encourage her peers to travel and learn about other cultures.
Along with travel, Megan enjoys cheerleading, reading, and volunteering for
a pediatric weight management program. In her free time, she enjoys watching
old
movies and she idolizes the timeless elegance and classiness of movie stars
such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly.
In
the future, Megan plans to study abroad during college
to enhance her understanding
of the Spanish language and culture and eventually hopes to have a career
in marketing. She sincerely appreciates her friends and
family for their continuous
love and support and is overjoyed to have the opportunity to represent the
wonderful commonwealth of Virginia as MISS VIRGINIA TEEN USA® 2008.
